A World War II bunker in South London is to be opened to the public.
The deep-level shelters sit beneath Clapham Common and housed up to 8000 people during German bombing raids. London’s transport body, TfL, will open the bunker on pre-booked tours and plan to turn the historic rotunda which sits on the surface into a cafe or restaurant. Read more: dailymail.co.uk
