Typhoon Noul hit the northeast of the Philippines on Sunday, prompting thousands to evacuate the region, with two deaths reported. The typhoon has continued on a northward path towards the islands of Okinawa, Japan, where warnings have been issued for heavy rains and high waves. The typhoon is expected to head out to sea south of Japan’s main island from Wednesday. Read more: japantimes.co.jp
