A temporary light show that illuminated San Francisco’s Bay Bridge from 2013 until March last year proved so popular that it’s now being reinstalled permanently.
Artist Leo Villareal’s project had around 25,000 lights that twinkled in choreographed routines and wowed visitors during its previous run. Funding to bring the lights back was secured and the switch will be flipped on 30 January, a week before Super Bowl 50 comes to the Bay Area. One of the best vantage points is from the city’s Ferry Building where you can grab some tasty food to enjoy while the lights perform.
