On Tuesday, Taiwan announced that its new e-visa scheme was open to travellers. The scheme allows visitors from 27 countries to apply for visas online.
The scheme applies to nationals of visa-required countries; nationals of visa waivered countries do not need to apply for a visa in advance of their trip. Citizens of Brunei, Macedonia and Turkey, are among those eligible for the e-visa programme. Eligible visitors can apply online at Taiwan’s Bureau of Consular Affairs website: boca.gov.tw.
