A Swiss farmer unearthed more than 4000 bronze and silver coins in his cherry orchard in the canton of Aargau back in July.

He suspected the coins might be of Roman origin since just a few months earlier a Roman settlement was discovered in a nearby town. After months of careful excavation, archaeologists announced on Thursday that some of the coins date back as far as AD274 and this is one of the biggest finds in Swiss history. Read more: bbc.com
