The partner of a British woman who died during a holiday in the Far East has spoken of his shock on social media.
Responding to dozens of messages of condolence on his Facebook page, Stefan Brown said he was in a “absolute tatters” after the death in Thailand.
The body of Rachel Turner Brown, from Wolverhampton, was reportedly found in a swimming pool at a hotel on the island of Ko Chang at the weekend.
In a posting on his Facebook page, the 42-year-old’s partner said: “Thank you to everyone that’s messaged me.
“I’m in absolute tatters. still in shock, not sunk in yet. Not able to listen to any music, just tried to listen to something but reminded me immediately of Rachel.”
The couple are thought to have been in the first week of a two-month tour of Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.
A spokeswoman for the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office said: “We can confirm the death of a British national on 17 May in Thailand. We are providing consular support to the family.”
