A national rail strike looks likely to disrupt UK travel on Monday 25 May. The day is a bank holiday, and traditionally sees the country’s transport network groan with the weight of Britons taking a long weekend away. The Rail, Maritime and Transport union has called the strike in response to a new pay offer from Network Rail, who run the UK’s railways.
