Academics from the University of Warsaw, Poland, are working in conjunction with the National Museum in Warsaw to carry out the world’s largest ever study of mummified humans and animals.

Some 40 specimens will be examined during the research, many of which are on loan from other institutions. The scientists hope to discover the types of diseases that affected people in ancient times. Read more: thenews.pl
