A Norwegian Airlines plane was forced to return to Copenhagen Airport when it was struck by lightning shortly after take-off. The flight to Barcelona was carrying 143 passengers at the time, and no one was hurt. A spokesperson for the airline said, “Immediately after start the plane was struck by lightning and because safety is top priority to us at Norwegian the captain turned around and landed the plane.” The aircraft is currently being assessed by airline technicians to establish whether any material damage occurred in the incident.
