A New Zealand man, Luke Reilly, had a close encounter with an orca (also called killer whales) while paddleboarding off the coast of Whitianga on the Coromandel peninsula. He filmed the curious orca as it swam away from the main pod to investigate. Mr Reilly said he was a little frightened when the orca began to nibble his board but he calmly filmed the whole encounter. Read more: telegraph.co.uk
