Next week three of Mexico City’s top chefs will arrive in Houston to cook up some of their favourite dishes at Houston restaurants for an event called ‘Sabores CDMX’.
The exchange is a collaboration between Mexico City Tourism Trust and Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau that hopes to cross-promote the cultures of both cities. The visiting chefs will be Gerardo Vazquez Lugo, executive chef at Nicos; chef Margarita Carrillo Arronte from Turtux; and Víctor Cabrera Carrillo, a consultant for restaurants throughout Mexico. Event organizers haven’t yet released which restaurants the chefs will be visiting, but the event runs from 10-12 December. Read more: chron.com
