A two-metre-tall ice cream cone that weighs 50kg has been stolen from outside a gelateria in the northern Italian city of Trieste.
The thief made off with the huge cone on Tuesday night, and would have needed special equipment to cut through the thick chain that attached it to the wall of the gelateria. The owner of the gelateria, Federico Ursini, said: ‘at first I thought it was a joke… it seemed so incredible that I didn’t believe it’. Police are looking for the culprit. Read more: thelocal.it
