FBI warns of terror threat to Italian monuments

The FBI has warned that famous monuments such as St Peter’s Basilica in Rome and Milan’s Duomo cathedral and La Scala opera house are possible targets for terror attacks.

They have also passed on information to the Italian authorities about five potentially dangerous individuals who may be in the country. The warning does not relate to any specific plot, but Isis has made numerous threats against Rome and the Vatican City. Read more: thelocal.it
