As reported in September, Disneyland will be adding the much-anticipated Star Wars Land to its California park grounds in 2016, but this new addition will come at a price: starting 10 January, a large part of Frontierland will be closed to make room for the new section of the park.

Attractions that will be closed permanently include Big Thunder Ranch, the Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree, and the Big Thunder Ranch petting zoo, though the Big Thunder Railroad will remain open. Attractions that will be closing temporarily are the Sailing Ship Columbia, the Disneyland Railroad, the Mark Twain Riverboat, the Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes, and the Pirates Lair on Tom Sawyer Island.
