Chinese-themed resort breaks ground on Las Vegas Strip

Chinese drums and lion dancers ushered in the initial phase of construction of Las Vegas’ first Chinese-themed resort called Resorts World Las Vegas. This is the first newly constructed mega-resort built on the Strip in a decade, and the first to be developed by an international company. Expected to open in 2018, the $4 billion first phase of Resorts World Las Vegas will contain 3000 rooms on an 87-acre site on the north end of the Strip.
