Chinese authorities have announced that they will restrict the number of visitors from the mainland allowed to enter Hong Kong. Residents of mainland border city Shenzhen, for example, will only be allowed to visit Hong Kong once a week under the new rules. Previously Shenzheners could visit Hong Kong as often as they liked with a multi-entry permit. It is hoped the restrictions will curb ‘parallel traders’ who buy up daily commodities like baby formula and diapers to re-sell on the mainland. Read more: chinapost.com.tw
