It’s official, Chicagoland. You have the worst traffic bottleneck in the country.
This news comes as no surprise to anyone who has spent much time driving around Chicago. The Kennedy Expressway, between the Circle Interchange and Edens Junction, has the dubious honor of being the most congested bottleneck in America. It’s estimated that almost 17 million hours were spent sitting in traffic on this stretch of road last year, which is frustrating for travelers and terrible for the environment.
