A 55 year-old Norwegian man is attempting to row all 3300km of Norway’s coast, from Svinesund in the south to Kirkenes in the north to raise money for a brain cancer charity. Kjell Tore Solvang, who trains Norway’s national canoe team, is already suffering from crippling blisters after just over three weeks of his journey in a traditional wooden fjord boat. But he’s been battling on and preventing infection by using an old sailors’ trick: urinating on his wounds.
