A 6-week-old gorilla at Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle has begun to crawl.

According to the zoo’s mammal curator, the baby is crawling short distances and exercising her leg muscles. The western lowland gorilla was born to first-time mother Nadiri on 20 November. Nadiri, who gave birth naturally, didn’t pick up her baby, and zoo staff stepped in to save the infant primate. Read more: king5.com
