The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport has become the first airport in the world to welcome 100 million passengers in one year, hitting the mark this past weekend with the arrival of Delta flight #1256 from Gulfport, Mississippi.

Upon landing, the flight was greeting with a water cannon salute as well as several dignitaries including Atlanta’s mayor Kasim Reed. Flight #1256 passenger Larry Kendrick was designated the 100 millionth passenger and was given a Nissan Altima and two Delta One first-class, round-trip tickets to anywhere in the world.
