Astana airport to get a new terminal by 2017

Building of a new terminal at Astana’s airport is currently underway. The old terminal has been demolished and the new building is set to open in March 2017 after additional repairs to the airport’s runways. The city has been undergoing numerous upgrade works ahead of the World Expo to be held in Astana in 2017. Kazakhstan has also recently announced it will permanently extend its trial visa-free scheme to citizens of 26 countries. Read more: inform.kz
