The Americas, Weird, Odd & Just Plain Fun
If you build it they will come. Or at least they’ll flock to see it and post it to Facebook. A man in Chicago has built an igloo made from the snow and ice outside his high rise condo.

Artist and engineer David Sudler decided that this year he would have a bit of fun with the accumulated snow and ice outside his apartment which he normally shovels to the side.
He began to cut huge blocks of ice and snow and pile them up on the corner of Columbus and Wacker Avenues. Slowly but surely the iceblocks turned into a full-sized igloo, with many passersby thinking that it was a construction a homeless man had made for shelter. In fact, Sudler lives in one of the high-rise condos on the road. Joanie Lum of Fox News took a short video of Sudler demonstrating how the blocks were sliced and laid out.
It may look a bit blackened and mucky by the city streets, but who wouldn’t want an igloo as a home?
