Travellers from the United States will be well-represented at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro – to date, they have purchased 88,100 tickets, the largest number from any country outside of host country Brazil.

Spectators from Europe will also be strong in numbers – so far, citizens from France have purchased 54,600 tickets and citizens from Germany have purchased 42,000. Brazil’s congress recently passed a bill, which is awaiting presidential approval, to provide visa waivers for citizens from the US and Canada who will be travelling to the country for the Games.
