An Indian Air Force jet has landed on the Yamuna Expressway southeast of Delhi as part of trial to use India’s growing highway network as emergency runways for India’s tempermental fleet of fighter jets. The air force depends on Mirage, MiG and Sukhoi jets from France and Russia, but many are ageing and mechanical problems are common.
