In 2014 Airbnb estimated it had 550,000 renters using the house sharing website, so the number has almost doubled this year.

Airbnb has a strong year in 2015, adding many destinations to its map whilst continuing to grow an ever expanding community.

According to its own statistics the most popular destinations to pass New Year’s Eve this year are Hamburg, Fuerteventura, and Hawaii. Ten thousand Britons chose to spend the last day of the year in a cabin in a wood, whilst Sydney was the most common location for Londoners looking to be out of town on the 31st of December.
