The April 25 earthquake in Nepal reduced the popular trekking village of Langtang to just a single house, destroying settlements all along one of Nepal’s most popular trekking routes. Rescue workers are now combing the rubble for bodies, with 110 foreign trekkers believed to be amongst the dead, alongside 300 Nepali citizens. The force of the avalanche and landslide that hit Langtang was so severe that forensic techniques will be needed to identify the victims of the worst disaster of modern times in Nepal.
