In February 2018, Dubai officially broke its own world record for the highest hotel in the world, with the opening of Gevora, a 356-metre-tall leviathan located on the famous Sheikh Zayed Road. Offering 528 deluxe rooms and suites, five separate dining experiences and a host of leisure facilities, the impressive new building offers a taste of the lavish life. But now travellers can take in the stunning views without breaking the bank, as the hotel has announced special day passes to the sky-high pool deck.
Offering panoramic views of the Dubai skyline, the deck features a 25-metre-long pool that comes complete with a four-metre-long section for children. A weekday pass costs 150 AED (US$40), while weekend access costs 200 AED (US$54), and includes complimentary access to the viewing deck on the 75th floor of the hotel.
“We want everyone to be able to experience the world’s tallest hotel, whether you are staying with us or not. You can now spend a full day with us, relax by the pool during the day and go up to the rooftop at sunset to enjoy breathtaking views over the city. It is a perfect activity for tourists or residents,” Jairaj Gorsia, general manager at Gevora told Lonely Planet Travel News.
The four-star hotel also includes a speciality coffee shop called Le Veyron, as well as an all-day restaurant called Gevora Kitchen, which serves breakfast and dinner. Other venues include Level Twelve, a gourmet restaurant serving Middle Eastern twists on classic dishes, and guests of the hotel also have access to a fully-equipped health club that comes complete with gyms, a steam room and a sauna.
More information on the Gevora Hotel is available at the official website.
