The world’s first hotel staffed by androids is set to open at the Huis Ten Bosch theme park outside Nagasaki in July. The Henn-na (Strange) Hotel will reportedly offer porter service, room cleaning and front desk management by ‘actroids’ which bear the features of a young woman. Developed by Osaka University, the fem-bots will be able to speak Japanese, Chinese, Korean and English and determine a customer’s mood based on their facial expressions. Read more: ttgasia.com
