World champion surfers descend on Taiwan for contest

Dozens of the world’s best surfers have arrived in Taiwan for the annual Open of Surfing competition.

The only World Surf League circuit event in Taiwan, the Open of Surfing is held near Taitung, along a stretch of Taiwan’s east coast known for its excellent Pacific waves. The event will be held 25-29 November in Jinzun Harbour north of Taitung. Read more: chinapost.com.tw
