The Skamania Lodge in Stevenson, Washington, is offering cruises in sailing vessels designed to replicate ships from maritime history. The first ship, the Lady Washington, is a replica of an 18th century merchant ship known for being the first American vessel to make landfall on North America’s West Coast. The replica of Lady Washington was also featured in Pirates of the Caribbean. The other ship, the Hawaiian Chieftain, is a replica of colonial cargo ships that crossed the Atlantic in the 19th century. The lodge says the ships will set sail on 16 and 17 July for two-hour cruises on the Columbia River. Read more: travelpulse.com
