Romance novels will no longer be released in Vietnam, under a government order amid concerns over ‘cliched, useless, obscene and offensive’ content giving readers an unrealistic idea about relationships. The ban is said to be temporary, while authorities have requested that publishers review their books to select those with ‘healthy’ content.
