The Indian state of Uttar Pradesh has unveiled plans for a new walking trail that recreates the final journey of the Buddha. The trail links a series of sacred Buddhist sites between Vaishali and Kushinara, where Gautama Siddhartha, the historical Buddha, died in the fifth century BC.
