The US State Department has revised its travel advisory warnings for Bangladesh to alert travellers to the risk of attacks on foreigners, following the recent murders of an American-Bangladeshi blogger, an Italian aid worker and a Japanese agricultural advisor by Islamist militants.

The report warns that armed groups may continue to target foreign citizens in Bangladesh, particularly at large gatherings.
