As Memorial Day weekend kicks off the unofficial start of summer in America, US airlines are predicting that this year will be their busiest summer ever. An estimated 222 million people are expected to take a flight sometime between the first of June and 31st of August, which beats the previous record of 217 million travellers which was made in 2007, before the global financial crisis took its toll on travel.
