UFO in Southern California identified as missile test

It had people panicking, predicting an alien invasion, and calling police, but a mysterious light seen over Southern California at the weekend turned out to be just a missile test.

Looking a bit like a comet, with a tail flaring from behind as it sped across the sky on Saturday night, the now-identified flying object was caught on camera by dozens of viewers. The Pentagon says the missile wasn’t armed and that tests will continue until Wednesday. Read more: cnn.com
