Water will once again flow at Rome’s elaborate baroque Trevi fountain on Tuesday after months of careful restoration work, funded by the Italian fashion house Fendi.
The restoration was prompted by an incident in 2012 when pieces of the fountain fell off after a particularly cold winter. Cracks in the fountain have been repaired, and the facade and statues are now gleaming white after an extensive clean-up. Read more: thelocal.it
