Travel to Wakanda via Atlanta and explore everything it has to offer

As Black Panther reigns supreme over the US box office, fans are getting hyped over the glorious depiction of the fictional East African nation that developed in isolation over a millennium. Now one airport seems to be offering flights there, getting lots of fans excited.

The sign appeared over a gate in Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport earlier this week advertising flight ATL 1234 to Wakanda at 7.30pm. After posting it on Twitter, the image sparked lots of fan commentary and debate.

Hollywood actress and Black Panther star Lupita Nyong’o also delighted in the sign and offered some suggestions of her own for in-flight entertainment, including T’Challa’s Angels and La Femme Nakia, named after characters in the film. The airport replied with some puntastic musical offerings of their own.

The airport has been cheerfully responding to fans’ requests to reroute the flight to Paris and queries about whether or not visas are needed. Even better, they’ve promised daily flights leaving at 7.30pm for all the super fans travel requirements.
