Fans of Spanish artist Salvador Dali’s surrealist paintings can now fully immerse themselves in his art through a virtual reality experience.
The Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida, has introduced Dreams of Dali, an immersive experience that allows visitors to use virtual reality stations to explore the eccentric artist’s imagination by going inside his 1935 painting Archeological Reminiscence of Millet’s “Angelus”.
The museum is also featuring an exhibit entitled Disney and Dali: Architects of the Imagination. The multimedia exhibition tells the story of the unlikely alliance between Dali and the American animator Walt Disney.
The exhibition is presented through a multimedia wonderland of original paintings, story sketches, conceptual artwork, objects, correspondences, archival film, photographs, and audio.
The Dali Museum is home to more than 2,000 works by the artist. The museum also released a video of Dreams of Dali experience on its YouTube page.
