Tourists posing for a selfie have broken off a huge chunk of a priceless 18th-century statue that is a symbol of the Italian city of Cremona. The two tourists, who have since been apprehended by the police, were clambering on the Statue of the Two Hercules in Cremona’s Piazza del Comune when a large marble crown came off and smashed into pieces on the ground.
