Life’s a beach. Or so says the latest exhibition at the Bondi Pavilion Gallery, where British photographer Martin Parr will be exhibiting at life’s works depicting beach life at odds with that of surrounding Sydney. His hyper-saturated images are iconic and easily recogrnisable, capturing all the comical, familial, and sensual elements of life on beaches around the world. The exhibition opens on Sunday.

A new exhibition in Matjaz Tancicg gives an exclusive insight into life in North Korea. At the Pekin Art Gallery, the Beijing based Slovenian photographer got unprecedented access to North Korea, which he distilled in a 3D photography project called 3DPRK. Th work was apparently very hard to create the artist has admitted. Portraits and interviews with various fascinating normal North Koreans make up the chief subject. Exhibition is open until 20 February.

The Winter Antiques Show will be hitting New York this weekend, complete with 73 stalls and a series of lectures and talks to make it a quintessentially Upper East Side experience. It’s the leadings antiques show in the whole US, so this is where you should be if bargains, surprise purchases, and faberget are your thing!

Chefs and chocolate enthusiasts in Barbados are in for a sweet treat, as the Barbados Chocolate Festival kicks off Saturday, 30 January. Local and international chocolatiers and artisans from a variety of restaurants, bakeries, and patisseries will offer samples to festival guests and also conduct workshops and culinary demonstrations.
