Tokyo’s Narita International Airport has begun operating short tours for travellers with more than a few hours of layover time to kill. The tour options include visiting a nearby temple or countryside in the region. Volunteer guides accompany the tours, though travellers can also opt for a self-guided shopping mall tour. A spokesperson for the airport said they hoped the experience of Japanese hospitality would draw tourists back to the country. Read more: japantimes.co.jp
