The Turkish government is funding the constructions of a new mosque in Albania’s capital Tirana. The foundations have been laid for what will be the biggest mosque in the Balkans, and will include the first Islamic museum in the region as well. The 20,000-sq-m complex will have space for 5000 people to pray at a time. The Muslim community makes up for 70% of the population in Albania. Read more: balkaneu.com
