Thai officials have raided a Buddhist temple near Kanchanaburi that is popular with tourists who cuddle and pose for selfies with the big cats. At least 100 tigers have reportedly been impounded at Wat Pa Luang Ta Bua, or Tiger Temple, until authorities wind up their investigations. The temple, which bills itself as an animal sanctuary and tiger-breeding facility, has been dogged for years by talk of alleged links to wildlife trafficking and its maltreatment of tigers.
