Offering a unique glimpse into the fashion designer’s world, the photos chronicle his sketching through to the production of the Paris catwalk show.

Around 100 large and small images, some never seen publicly, will be on display in the spring.

It is timed to coincide with the Victoria and Albert Museum’s exhibition, Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibition.

Photographer Nick Waplington gained exclusive access to McQueen’s studio during his Autumn/Winter collection, The Horn Of Plenty – the last collection before he died.

McQueen perceived The Horn Of Plenty as a retrospective of his fashion career which came to an untimely end in 2010.

The show featured recycled fabrics from his earlier collections, and elements from previous catwalks to make up the set.

As well as the exclusive photographs, the exhibition will also feature images of landfill sites and recycling plants.

McQueen and Nick Waplington worked together to edit a photobook which resulted from this collaboration, which will be on show from 10th March until 17th May.
