Swedish hotel refutes discrimination allegation

A Swedish spa hotel has been accused of discrimination after it refused to accept a booking from a gay couple, who then discovered they could make the same reservation under the names of a straight couple. Sweden is a country known for its tolerance and for promoting equal rights, and the man making the booking intends to report the hotel to the Swedish Equality Ombudsman. Meanwhile the hotel has denied discrimination, saying the incident was a case of ‘poor service and bad communication’. Read more: thelocal.se
