Plans are afoot to create a Hobbit park near Málaga in Spain but the idea has raised copyright concerns because the park will not be officially associated with the Lord of the Rings or Hobbit films – a fact that has reportedly caught the attention of Warner Brothers, which owns the rights to the film series. The JRR Tolkien-inspired world is set to be called La Comarca – The Shire, in Spanish. It will be populated by elves, orcs, Hobbit homes and scenery will imitate that of Middle Earth in the Tolkien films. It will also include an ‘adventure zone’ where visitors will be able to clamber over Hobbit holes and climb walls. If the park goes ahead, it will be built in Rincón de la Victoria in the province of Málaga. Read more: thelocal.es
