Drinking alcohol between 10.30pm and 7am in public places, including parks, could soon be banned in Singapore if a new bill tabled in parliament on Monday is eventually passed. In the proposed bill, public drinking after 10.30pm would carry fines of up to S$2000 and three months in jail. Retail stores found trading after hours would be liable for fines of up to S$10,000.
