The main streets of Singapore’s CBD will be car-free on 28 February as part of a six-month trial designed to make the city-state more people-friendly.
From 7am to 9am on the last Sunday of every month, the roads around Singapore’s Padang, as well as Shenton Way and Robinson Road, will be closed to traffic. The day will kick off with a special breakfast picnic session, with local delights including roti prata and nasi lemak served to the public. Street performances will also be held at Esplanade Park, Connaught Drive and Empress Place throughout the day. Read more: straitstimes.com
