Shanghai gets Transformers ride at new Sega theme park

A new Joypolis theme park will open in Shanghai on 6 February. The Sega-brand park’s drawcard will be its signature Transformers ride.

The ‘gyroscopic arcade cabinet’ seats two and spins the riders around in sync with an interior visual screen to mimic a Transformers action scene. The Joypolis brand opened its first park in Yokohama, Japan in 1994 and currently operates three parks in Japan as well as a park in Qingdao that opened in July 2015.
