A San Francisco hotel is offering up an extremely lavish four-day stay in a luxury penthouse – and a trip to the Super Bowl with 22 friends – all for the price of US$1 million.
Fairmont San Francisco has announced the Million Dollar Fantasy Big Game 50 Package, which is certainly the stuff of fantasies for luxury lovers and football fans.
The package includes a penthouse stay for up to six people for four nights – with an open bar and the guest’s favourite snacks – and a trip to the big game with a catered suite for 22 people.
The 2016 Super Bowl is on Sunday, 7 February at Levi’s Stadium in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the game will pit the Carolina Panthers against the Denver Broncos. Whoever buys the package will get a luxury ride to the stadium with a tailgate party on board, where “a Fairmont chef and bartender will keep the party rolling”, according to a press release.
At the Super Bowl, the guests will head to a catered Gold Suite and have a visit and photo opportunity with “nationally celebrated football alum”.
The package also includes a charitable component, meaning $150,000 will be donated in the buyer’s name to the 50 Fund, a Super Bowl charity that will give grants to youth development, community investment and sustainable environment projects.
While seeing the football game is surely a significant draw for any millionaire considering actually buying the package, the four-day stay at the Fairmont would be fairly exciting as well. The 6000-square-foot suite has a large terrace, a dining room and kitchen, a billiard room and a two-storey library “with a secret passageway”. But, if you’re not convinced of suite’s opulence, the hotel notes that Prince Charles stayed in the penthouse, meaning it is officially fit for royalty.
